Monkey Rebounder

You're looking at the newly minted "Monkey Rebounder."
According to his coach.

Basketball season was pleasant and low-key.

Owen would usually make a basket or 2 each game.
The game I couldn't make it to he apparently got like 14 points.

But sadly, my most memorable moment from the season was the game we WEREN'T at.
Owen was sick so I kept him home.
(when most of the team was out of town and he was really needed)
And then we went to the beach.
And his coach had the same idea.

Between forced smiles, hair accessories, and forced water feedings,
Sally reminds me of Elmyra on a daily basis.

Favorite Toy

There's something magic about this basic wooden toy.
He loves.

Star Fruit

We've been checking Sprouts for months...hoping for them to have star fruit in stock.
They finally did, and Drew got to fulfill his 1st grade dream of tasting it.

But ya...pretty sure one time was enough.

TOO sour.

The Day We Get Ready for Sunday

He has dry skin, so his baths/showers have to be limited.
Which means I get extra excited by his naked cuteness every time and have to take a picture.

Valentine's 2013

Giant kisses and a scavenger hunt to find their Valentines.
They woke up at 5 from excitement.
Compared to 7 on Christmas morning.

V-Day Legos.
 The helper.
Then we took a little, I mean long, scooter ride to the village Jamba for $1 dollar days smoothies.

The ride home was uphill, so we stopped halfway at the library to regroup.
 Earned some free pizza coupons.

And always with the computer games.

Owen was getting him to laugh out loud and it was too cute to shush.

Ended our overall lovely day with my Valentines at Macaroni Grill.

Bathing Brothers

And then Alfalfa joined the party.

 Oceanfront jaccuzi-ing,

and napping.

All enjoyed thanks to Annie being relocated for the week while her condo was under construction.
The beach-front 9-bedroom home was pretty awesome.
Family reunion anyone?

He's been so close for weeks and finally made it all of the way over a couple Sundays ago (Feb 3 to be the ripe old age of 4 1/2 months).

Speaking of firsts, these two walked home alone from school for the first time a few weeks ago and it was the best. No waking a napping baby for me, and some freedom/released energy for them.

Passing the Buck

I don't know what was funnier,
watching Owen change a diaper for the first time....
(wah la! a new diaper courtesy of Owen)

or watching Owen try to get A's pajamas back on afterwards.

(he gave up and Sally completed the task)

Don't know the last time I've laughed so hard...wish I filmed it.
