Stalkers

My friend, Emily, was walking home from her neighborhood school bus stop when she spotted none other than Justin Timberlake golfing. Following him around on a golf course sounded way more fun than whatever else I was doing that day, so minutes later a couple of 30-something moms were having way too much fun stalking JT.

August, however, had no interest. He got much time on my phone to keep him quiet. PS golfing is way too quiet of a sport.

At the end of the 18 holes, there was a small crowd gathered hoping for autographs. We were Sharpie-less and not prepared, but look how close we were!

My favorite was when this big guy stuffed a photo in his face for a signature and Timberlake said, "That's Toby Keith." Hahahaha. No signature for him. Toby was also in town for the ATT Pro Am, so these guys just come with stacks of photos to get autographed. Most likely sell them on Ebay.

We rounded up some more friends and came back a couple days later. This was all pre-tournament, so there were no crowds. Pretty awesome.

I couldn't tell you one Toby Keith song, but here he is (below). Apparently a super nice, pro-military guy.

And then there was Muscles, I mean Mark Wahlberg. Emily had found one of his balls a couple days earlier, and got him to sign it that day. Jackpot.

Later that day, we went to the official tournament. That was SO crowded and not near as cool as our up-close and personal pre-tournament experience. And I missed crazy Bill Murray during my bathroom break. Toby Keith and his cigar were nice to take a picture with Carolynn.

I was excited to spot Timberlake's wife, Jessica Biel, but she wouldn't turn around. Dang bodyguards. She was so teeny tiny.

Sister Trip

Way back in January, 5 out of the 7 Martindale sisters + in-laws met up for a SoCal weekend.

Errin and Tami weren't up to the trip in their pregnant states,
but we did get to spend a fun night at Errin's house (sadly no pictures)

Harry Potter World at Universal Studios was pretty awesome, especially in our matching ponchos.
The rain was a damper except for the fact that there were NO lines.
Sorry you all didn't have rain boots!
I was the only one with non pruny feet.

Warm butterbeer lived up to the hype.

The food we ate there was not exciting except for Candace's warm apple pie, which was amazing.
My sticky toffee pudding was good, but not compared to the pie.

Loved all the shops in Diagon Alley.

The rest of Universal was less exciting, but we loved/hated the scary Walking Dead experience.

And we loved/LOVED Candace and Rachel dancing with Scooby and Velma.
Makes me laugh every time.

Day 2 consisted of:
Eat Chow for breakfast
Pedicures
Beach (cold)
Shopping
Italian dinner (that we all loved, esp the nice old man who bought us drinks)
Watching Hidden Figures from the front row of the theatre (so good)

This weekend was seriously good for my soul. Love my sisters!
