La Jolla Children's Cove

Eating chips with seals...they're right on the beach there.

She is baby hungry.
I am too.
Wait, I'm just ready to name one...not raise one.
My newest name obsession is Kit.
Yes, as in, "Here Kitty Kitty."

Giant Arts & Crafts

Owen has the week off of school (yay!).

So today we visited a strange, yet cool sculpture garden:
Queen Califia's Magical Circle

It was strange. Yet cool.

QT to AZ

Cousin Emily's Shower
(cousin Kirsten's baby checking herself out)

Walk-through the house we're hopefully buying to use as a rental

Pizza/Frozen Yogurt/Target with the local H-baughs

A visit to my Grandma & Grandpa
Grandma's not doin too well (hopefully not permanent).

Family over on Sunday

Mom teaching about Presidents on the holiday with dollar bills and cherry pie.

Goofy Golfing

and
Chinese Food

We will be be seeing my family again so soon and still it's sad to leave every time!

Sally Belle

She spent a half hour buttoning and unbuttoning her pajamas the other night.

She nick-named Brent, "Brentany."
Used in a sentence:
"And this Valentine is for Brentany."
This is Brentany.

When I called Justin's name she exclaimed, "Justin BIEBER???!"
This is Justin.

This is Justin Bieber.

When there was an unpleasant smell in the room she demanded to know who tooted.
Then said, "Oh it was just my foot."
These are her stinky, napping feet.

Heart Shaped Food Day

Drove 1/2 hour to the nearest Papa Murphy's on Valentine's.
I needed their heart pizza.
Not sure why after seeing this picture.
But even burnt, it's still good.

Visited 1000 Steps Beach while we were in the area.

A little love-y FHE that night.

And that was pretty much our day!

Sporty Spice

Hey Justin, the ball's over there.

Justin is playing arena soccer with some people from work.
Soccer makes him just a little bit excited.
And it's contagious.
Owen thinks he's ready to play again.
Drew & Sally want to be on a team, too.

A little family of soccer players would make one happy Justin.

Too Much of a Good Thing

But they're fun to make.
And I had no idea she'd want to wear them all at the same time.
All the time.

Karen taught me how to make em cause I wanted to add them
to this jewelery box she got for Christmas.

Justin found it for an awesome deal while in UT for his Arabic course.
It was my favorite gift of hers.

And why am I still talking about Christmas presents in Feb?

Home Depot

Sally is now the proud owner of a grape purple (her color choice) heart shelf.
Those Home Depot kid workshops have decent stuff (for free).
It was fun that they were randomly there when one was going on.

She Likes Her Cookies

Trader Joe's could package poop and I would buy it.

But those cookies were most definitely not (poop).

I wish there were more left, too.

While we're on the subject of yellow things (the cookies, not the poo),
here is a lovely bouquet that Drew made me today.

Free

Just need to document that Drew is training wheel free!
He caught on super fast and it was a happy afternoon.

Coasters and Woofums

We took the Coaster (double decker train that goes along the coast)
down to Old Town for the Mormon Battalion community event the church put on.

It was well done, but I think our highlight was the Coaster ride.
It was awesome.
(I'm blocking out the part when the outspoken homeless man sat too close to us on the way home)

But anyway at the event...
Sally examined a horse's backside.

Then we moved on to our favorite part of the day: woofum making.

That is biscuit dough formed around fat wooden dowel thingies.

Then roasted just like marshmallows.

When finished you end up with this cup shaped biscuit...
...that can be filled with jam, honey, gravy, whatever.

I really need some of those woofum roasting sticks for my next camp and/or bonfire.
(that's a hint Dad...Errin wants some, too)

I also want those things not to be called woofums.

My Starring Role

Sam (my friend's husband and ex co-worker) just sent me the link to this commercial I was in from back in the day (2001) when I worked for LJW Advertising.

I can't stop laughing.

My hair!
My interest in what Uncle Sam has to say!

I probably need an agent after this.

Jason + Candace

Jason, my little Ninja Turtle shirt wearing brother from a few post's ago, is getting married!
He is marrying Girl Jason.
But really her name is Candace.
They are two peas in a pod.
I'm happy for him.
And am excited for an awesome new sister in law.

PS I want her teeth.

Playing Nice

Sometimes they play nice together.
Outside.
No video games.
Using their imagination.
And it makes me happy.

USA

Justin got tickets to watch the U.S. Men's soccer team play Chile for Christmas.
Not sure what was more entertaining, the fans or the game.
It was fun!

Pooh Corner

Owen & Drew had their first trip to Disneyland.
And pretty much all I have to show for it are some pictures from Pooh Corner.

Oh ya and some clubbing.
(dancing to the Tron dance music at California Adventure)

And Drew being cheesy once again.

I'm a failure.

Speaking of Kevin Johnson

This is the very first picture I took with my very first camera.
I was 12.
Jason was 3 or 4.
He is in the middle of saying, "Kevin Johnson."
That would be because I made him say that.
I wanted my first picture to be special.

In case you don't know, this is Kevin Johnson:
Had this card and poster.
And I was in love with him.
